Code of Conduct
National Beta Convention Code of Conduct Welcome to the Leadership Summit! As a community dedicated to fostering leadership, character, service, and achievement, we strive to maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all attendees. To ensure a successful and respectful event, we have established the following Code of Conduct for students, sponsors, and guests.
Behavioral Expectations
Respect for Others
Treat everyone with kindness, courtesy, and consideration.
Positive Attitude
Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere. Encourage fellow participants to do their best.
Professionalism
Dress appropriately and professionally during all convention activities. Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on yourself and your school.
Punctuality
Arrive on time for all scheduled competitions and leadesrhip sessions.
Sportsmanship
Exhibit good sportsmanship during competitive events. Celebrate achievements and support fellow participants.
Prohibited Items
No alcoholic beverages or drugs in any form, shall be possessed by anyone at a Beta Convention. No use of any tobacco products, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes (vaping), and “spit tobacco” will be allowed within facilities of The National Beta Club Convention or at any Beta Club function at any time.
Clothing which advertises sex, drugs, tobacco or alcohol will not be permitted.
Participants are strictly prohibited from bringing live animals (excluding Service Animals) to any National Beta event or competition.
The use of fire or open flame in any form is strictly forbidden during National Beta functions. This includes candles, open-flame props, or any item that poses a fire risk.
Adherence to Schedule**
Follow the printed leadership schedule.
Curfew
Curfew is 11:00 PM.
Respect for Facilities:**
Cleanliness
Keep convention spaces clean and free of litter. Dispose of trash in designated bins.
Property Care
Respect the property of the convention venue and fellow participants. Report any damages or issues to National Beta staff promptly.
Technology Use
Use electronic devices responsibly and always keep them with you. Refrain from disruptive use during sessions or competitions.
Safety and Security
Name Badges
All registered Betas, adults and attendees are expected to wear official name badges at all times. Admission to meetings and the convention functions is by name badge only.
Personal Safety
Be aware of your surroundings and prioritize personal safety. Report any safety concerns to National Beta staff.
Emergency Procedures
Familiarize yourself with emergency exits through the facility. Follow instructions from event staff during emergency situations.
Sponsor/Guest Conduct
Inclusion
Sponsor and Guests are expected to adhere to the same code of conduct as students. Be respectful and considerate of all participants.
Observation Only
Guests may observe certain competitions but are not allowed to disrupt or participate unless specified.
Accompanying Students
Guests accompanying students are responsible for their behavior and adherence to the code of conduct.
Consequences for Violation
Violations of this code of conduct may result in consequences such as verbal warnings, removal from specific competitions, or expulsion from the convention, depending on the severity and repetition of the behavior. National Beta staff reserves the right to enforce these consequences as needed.

By participating at the Leadership Summit, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to the positive and respectful atmosphere of the event. Thank you for your commitment to excellence and for being an integral part of this community.
These guidelines are designed to create a secure and controlled environment for all participants, spectators, and organizers. We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these regulations as we strive to uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism during National Beta Club events.
We agree that any violation of these rules subjects our entire chapter to being sent home and all honors and awards forfeited. Serious misconduct on our part shall be reported to our Principal and our parents, who shall be advised that we are barred from participating in future Beta Conventions, and shall constitute grounds for the cancellation of our school’s charter of The National Beta Club.
